We’ve used every tool on this page and can recommend every one of them without hesitation.
The Amazon links are also included for your convenience.

Anvil Pruning Shears
These 8″ anvil pruning shears from gonicc are ideal for cutting light branches of trees, rose bushes, shrubs, and hedges.
We have a couple of pairs of these and use them for pruning tasks. I always have one in my tool bucket. Just in case!
Bonsai Scissors
We use these 7.3″ bonsai scissors from gonicc for trimming our tomato vines and harvesting fresh lettuce in the garden.
The handles are ergonomically designed. The blades are made with high carbon steel.
They are so comfortable to use, you’ll look for things to trim.
Folding Hand Saw
We keep this folding hand saw in our gardening bucket.
It comes in handy when you need to remove a large branch from the pathway. Folded back up, it is small and compact for storage.
Garden Dump Cart
We have three acres of land and one garden shed for the tools.
Instead of carrying a shovel and rake from one end to the other, we got this garden dump cart.
It hauls garden tools, dirt, bark, and weeds.
And the best part? It’s a dump cart and that makes it easy to get rid of the load.
Garden Tool Organizer and Broom Holder
We’ve got three of these garden tool organizers around.
One is in our garden shed to hold our rakes, shovels, brooms, and other gardening tools.
The other two are in the garage and shop.
Everything is so organized, gotta love it! And they’re weatherproof so can go where you need organization.
Garden Hand Tools Set With Storage Organizer
This would make an excellent gift for the gardener who is just starting out and needs gardening tools.
This 8-piece hand tool set comes complete with anti-rust, stainless steel tools. Each tool has a wood handle with holes for easy hanging storage.
Included in the package: gardening shovel, mini rake, trowel, cultivator, hand weeder, transplanting spade, gloves, and the heavy-duty tote bag.
This is a very nice all-in-one gift for dad on Father’s Day!
Hand Rake Claw
We have used the hand rake scoops for all sorts of gardening chores. They are great!
It’s “handy” for picking up leaves, spreading bark in the gardens, or pushing dirt off the driveway.
The scoops are lightweight. Their supporting wrist guards can also be used to hang them up for storage.
A must-have garden tool for the gardener in your life.
Hearing Protectors
We have a tractor, riding lawn mower, and chain saw in our equipment roster, and we use them all.
They’re noisy, so we recommend wearing hearing protection when around the operating equipment.
These Husqvarna hearing protectors are lightweight and flexible. I find them very comfortable to wear.
One size fits most.
Weeder – Looped Action Hoe
I wish I had found the looped action hoe cultivator years ago!
We have several flower and vegetable gardens throughout the property and this hoe weeder is a true time-saver.
It cuts the weeds just below the surface. Then you just gather them up and discard.
The hoe is very flexible. It can be used to weed, aerate, mulch, and cultivate gardens.
Here’s how it works. The flexible hoe has a blade that works beneath the surface of the soil to cut weed roots. Then all you do is gather the weeds and discard.
The blade is self-sharpening, but if needed, can be replaced.
You have to try it to believe it!
Hula-Ho Mini Weeder
Oh, and there’s a baby one!
It’s a hula-ho mini flexrake for the raised beds.
We have both the regular one above and this one!
The mini hula-ho is available with a 14″ hardwood handle.
Machete Axe
The Machete Axe is ideal for many gardening tasks.
It can clear thick brush, chop roots, cut branches and palms, and other gardening tasks.
It has an ax-like blade head for controlled chopping and splitting.
The curved blade offers pull cutting that works well for removing suckers and clearing vines.
This tool is for those times you need a machete and an ax.
You’ll probably have to sharpen this with a grinder, as they typically ship with no edge on them.
63″ Rake with Adjustable Head
We have quite a few conifer trees at the back of the property which drop pine cones all year round.
We’ve put this rake to the test raking up all of the pine cones for the fire.
It’s long at 63″ (most rakes are only 48″ long). The head is 15″ flat tine, and the head adjusts from 22″ wide to a tiny 7″ width that fits into small spaces. The handle is metal and won’t burn.
This is an excellent find!
Stand-Up Weeder
When we started prepping and seeding our lawn areas, native weeds were starting to take over.
We got one of these stand-up weeders and were able to take out the weeds everywhere.
It’s even fun to use. No bending over to pull weeds, and the tool releases the weed.
